Leaping into March
Good grief, as Charlie Brown* would say.
Where did February go?!? It seemed to fly-by.
And while we've been quiet, our heads have been down and our bums up, so to speak, preparing for a big 2020.
We've got some great titles on their way - one of the most eagerly anticipated being George Tsitsonis' book in May on the EURO 2004 triumph of Greece, Achieving the Impossible.
We also have a previously unscheduled small publication coming out soon from player agent Peter Pale0logos on his regulatory guide for youth footballers, via Popcorn Press.
We're also a little under three months away from the second Football Writers' Festival, with our latest international guest announced earlier today: Damian Collins MP from the UK. Damian is a former Chairman of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee who, in that capacity, was responsible for some seminal inquiries and reports including into the role and power of Facebook and #fakenews, pay equity in journalists' salaries at the BBC, the future of cricket and governance in UK sport.
Damian will be speaking at the Football Writers' Festival on the war on journalism. It's something we feel strongly about also, from many perspectives, and we're thrilled that he can make it to Australia for his first visit to our humble little Festival.
In the meantime, it's nose back to the grindstone as we get those manuscripts into shape and prepared for publication.
Happy reading everyone!
