Mark Kilmurry
Mark Kilmurry is an actor, writer, and director originally from Coventry in the UK who is now based in Sydney. He first came to Australia in 1991 with his award-winning theatre company, The Snarling Beasties, and moved permanently in 1996.
He is currently the Artistic Director of the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli. He first worked there as an actor in 2002, then became associate director, co-artistic director, and, from 2015, sole artistic director.
Mark has written, directed, and performed in countless theatre productions around the world, from London to New York to Palmerston North. He has also worked in film and television, including writing and directing his feature film Being Gavin (2019), which has been screened at many international film festivals.
Earlier in his life, Mark also trained as an artist and was honoured when his friend Tracey Trinder asked him to illustrate Captain Courageous.
