Collection: Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy is an independent football writer based in Bangkok. He has covered Asian football for over a decade, with a primary focus on Thai football.

He has worked as a freelance writer for a variety of news outlets, including ESPN, AFP and FourFourTwo. Paul’s work has also featured on the official websites of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF).  In addition to regular Thai League coverage, he has reported on matches in the AFC World Cup qualifiers, the AFC Champions League and the AFF Cup.

Before moving to Thailand Paul worked as a freelance sports sub-editor for several newspapers in Scotland. He combines his writing with a job as a teacher of English for Academic Purposes at a university.
