It was a big day yesterday in a big week for us.
We've been thrilled with the reaction and comments from so many people who were amongst the first to order the Encyclopedia of Socceroos by Andrew Howe. Thanks so much for letting us know. The books left our lovely northern beaches HQ on Monday and Tuesday and have been 'landing' around Australia since.
On Wednesday, Andrew had the opportunity to give one of the 100 deluxe Souvenir Edition copies to Football Federation Australia's CEO, David Gallop, and Head of National Performance (a former Socceroo), Luke Casserly. This was a gift from us as publishers; we allocated them number 92.
The number 1 special edition has gone to the National Library of Australia so it is in safe-keeping for ever.
As we've mentioned previously, we're also putting together an e-book only A-Z of the Socceroos in the 2018 World Cup. This is also prepared by Andrew, with the stats and profiles of the players named by Bert van Marwijk in his 26-man squad earlier in the week. This isn't available to buy yet, but we'll let you know once it is.
