A genuine feel-good read

A genuine feel-good read

It's not every day that a Socceroo writes a book. You can almost count on two hands those who have: Johnny Warren, 'Noddy' Alston, Paul Wade, Robbie Slater, Frank Farina, Andy Bernal...a few more.

We're delighted to bring you the latest with a twist: because this book is not about football—but man's and woman's best friends from Jim Fraser (cap #234).

Twenty-eight short stories that are funny or sad, will make you chuckle, and all of which are genuine feel-good reads.

In short, it is the perfect 'stocking stuffer' for this festive season.

There is even a story about fellow Socceroo Manfred Schaefer (cap #198) desperately wanting Jim to find him a dog who understood German before he left his wife and young family for the 1974 World Cup. We won't spoil the rest of the story: find out for yourself!

Jim will be at our pop-up bookshop on Sunday, December 1st, from 11.30 a.m. to sign books and hear your favourite doggo story. If you can't make it, you can fetch a copy from our website or a really good bookstore.
