No winter hibernation for us!
We've got several new books coming out over the coming months including the catchy little book The Time of My Football Life by David Picken detailing his boys'-own style adventures in Germany during the 2006 World Cup and, at the end of this month, Peter Kunz's amazing Chronicles of Soccer in Australia - The Foundation Years, 1859 to 1949.
We're the first to admit that Peter's book will not be for everyone. For a start, it's 360 pages including 16 pages of incredible photographs and images, and 130 pages listing every club in the country up until 1949. A bit longer than the average tweet, for example! :)
The book has taken years of Peter's spare time (and more recently full time) to research, check and collect and is an epic read for those interested in football history or just Australian history in general. Peter is an archivist by profession - and you can tell!
We're launching Chronicles of Soccer in Australia with the help of Andy Harper of FOX Sports on Wednesday 31 July 2019 at Gleebooks, Sydney. We know it's winter, but we hope you can join us for some football talk, some terrific Pide from Gleebooks, and beer, wine and soft drinks with our compliments.
