Looking for a Matildas 1995 shirt

Looking for a Matildas 1995 shirt

As the Matildas kick-off their 2018 Tournament of Nations defence in the USA today, we're calling for help.

Regular visitors to this site, and readers of this blog, will know that next year we're publishing the first Encyclopedia of Matildas by Andrew Howe to accompany the Encyclopedia of Socceroos published in May.

We're currently working on cover designs with our wonderful designer, Leslie Priestley. What we'd like to use is an image of a 1995 Matildas shirt from the Women's World Cup, the first time Australia participated in the tournament (and only the second WWC ever).

Can you help? If so, please email us editor@fairplaypublishing.com.au or tweet us @fairplaybooks, and we'll get back to you.

We're looking forward to seeing the Matildas in action again in the Tournament of Nations - up against, Brazil, Japan and the USA, and particularly 15-year-old Mary Fowler from Cairns (pictured), who looks a most exciting prospect, as well as 16-year-old Amy Sayer from Canberra.

#GoMatildas!

P.S. If you're wanting the Encyclopedia of Socceroos, it is selling FAST and there will not be a second print of this first edition.
