Shoutout to the Socceroos fans in Jeddah on Wednesday morning (Tuesday evening-pictured) who acknowledged the work of Simon Hill as the 'voice of football' in Australia. In case you're not aware, home and family call Simon back to England after 22 years here (another person who knows nothing but qualifying success for the Socceroos!).
We thank him for all that he has done and accomplished in football in Australia—and, by the way, he's a pretty good cricket commentator too—and wish him and Cello well.
We also thank him for the assistance he has given to Fair Play Publishing and the Football Writers' Festival over the past eight years. Simon understands the importance of books on football to help build a proper football culture, and has been a big supporter since day one of our work and the efforts of our authors.
