About the Author
Andrew Howe is Australia's foremost football statistician and historian. A graduate of Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Economics, he is also a senior population demographer with the Australian Bureau of Statistics, where his professional expertise in data and analysis complements his lifelong passion for Australian football history.
After attending his first National Soccer League match in 1988, Andrew began compiling the records of the game when he realised no comprehensive history existed. By the mid-1990s, his research had become the trusted source for media across Australia, and since 1999 he has served as the honorary statistician to Australian football's governing body, where his records are recognised as the official record of the game.
Andrew has compiled every official guide to Australia's men's and women's national leagues since 2000. His work is relied upon by broadcasters, journalists, football organisations and historians, and is renowned for its accuracy, depth and innovation.
